Solomon Lechesa Tsenoli
If you were following social media for the past couple of weeks, you would know what/who Mabena is. For those who have not or who have forgotten, two videos of what appears to be a South African National Defence Force (SANDF) training session went viral two weeks ago on social media.
In the first video, a trainee, referred to as Mabena, could not keep up with the training and was struggling to do a wall climbing exercise. The man taking the video can be heard shouting “Mabena, please disappoint me again. I knew it, Mabena.”
The second video shows Mabena and other trainees carrying fellow trainees on their shoulders and doing some running exercises. The man taking the video can be heard shouting about his disappointment on Mabena again.
Social Media users then defined Mabena as “A person that never cease to disappoint.”

Back to the story!
The Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema was raising a Point of Order in Parliament when the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Solomon Lechesa Tsenoli, appeared to be disturbing him. Tsenoli can be heard saying “That’s a political statement, it’s not a Point of Order.” Malema replies by saying “But listen, Mabena, listen. Mabena, listen…” The crowd burst into laughter.
