How long will Google be down for?
Google has gone down this afternoon, with hundreds of thousands of users reporting issues with their Gmail, Maps and YouTube accounts. Hundreds of thousands of users have reported outages with the world’s largest search engine as of midday on December 14. Gmail, YouTube, and dozens of the various services in Google’s suite of products, are currently not loading, unresponsive, or showing error messages.
An error on Gmail reads: “We’re sorry, but your account is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest trying again in a few minutes.” YouTube is also offline, with a warning that now reads: “Something went wrong…”
Users have taken their frustration to Twitter to find out what’s happening.
