WATCH: 9-year-old girl tossed in the air by a 900kg Bison

A video that has been circulating on social media shows a bull bison charging a group of tourists and unfortunately, the bison managed to toss the girl into the air.

The incident is said to have happened on Monday at Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, United States of America.

According to a news release by National Park Service, ” a group of approximately 50 people were within 5-10 feet of the bison for at least 20 minutes before eventually causing the bison to charge the group”

The girl was then taken to a nearby clinic where she was assessed, treated and released.

The incident was filmed by an 18 year old Hailey Dayton while visiting the Park on a family road trip.

“My brother and I were looking at the hot springs, and we saw a bunch of people running down the path to the bridge. We saw through the trees some people petting the bison, super close,” she told NBC News on Wednesday.
