Imran Tahir has become South Africa’s leading wicket-taker in World Cup history

Mohammad Imran Tahir, a Pakistani born South African cricket player, has just broken the record of most wickets in World Cup matches for South Africa.

The 40 year old has just broken the record that was held by Allan Donald (35 wickets in 25 matches) with 39 wickets in only 20 matches.

The Proteas are currently playing against Pakistan and need to win this match to avoid being eliminated. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. They got a score of 308/7 in their 50 overs. The Proteas need to get 309 in 50 overs.
