Sicelo Buthelezi is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Teddy in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora.

He is from Tembisa, Gauteng, South Africa and attended Ingqayizivele Secondary School in Tembisa. His interest in acting started developing while he was in grade 10 and he decided to join a local theater.

In 2020, Sicelo was cast as Teddy, a fan’s favourite in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora. He plays the role of a boy with special needs and is the son of a former alcoholic mother Zodwa, played by Sana Mchunu.

His mother’s alcoholism affected Teddy and he ended up not doing well at school. The school principal Melusi, played by Zolisa Xaluva, and his wife Gladys, played by Thembi Seete, decide to take Teddy in to stay with them. Zodwa has now been clean for months and is doing well for herself and the relationship with Teddy is even stronger.
