We planned our trip via STA Travel. Would I recommend them? If you like the convenience of not planning your own trip, then yes. If you want to tailor your experience, then no. It's also much cheaper to plan your own trip if you do it well in advance.

Our hotel was in Denpesar, 5 minutes drive from the airport so very convenient. 10 minutes from Kuta, party central. It's quite a busy area, but we loved it bc it was so full of life.
The Canngu/Seminyak area is sort of like the Melville of Bali. Hip area, lots of cute cafes and bars, upper class nyana. Quieter than Kuta but still lively. The beach clubs are a vibe! In Ubud we stayed at this lovely villa. It's affordable and incredibly secluded. You have to walk through rice terraces to get to it which is an experience on its own. I definitely recommend getting a villa in Bali as opposed to staying at a hotel. https://t.co/cnBgGyIwUi

There are street vendors everywhere in Kuta, most people get annoyed by them, but they're just trying to make a living tbh. Their prices are pretty hectic but support them where you can!

Balinese beaches are beautiful. Definitely spend the day in Nusa Dua for a more relaxing beach. Padang Padang beach as well for crystal clear and calm water. Pinterest has lots of info on Balinese beaches so definitely check that out. pic.twitter.com/9qEiipD68E
When booking the tour, ask for Chaplin. He makes driving between all the places so much fun. He's cute too lmao. Lmao bro, Bali is so safe 😭 no catcalling, no groping, none of the things South African men do. You can walk alone at night as a woman. The traffic officials make sure you cross the roads safely too lmao. The safety was my favourite thing about Bali.
Everything (except drank) is cheaper in Bali than it is in South Ahh. For context, 500ml of still water costs about R4. Bojwals is the only expensive thing in Bali, you're looking at R150 for one glazzof wine, so stick to the local beers which you shouldn't pay more than R40 for.
