Email [[email protected]] with the headline, what is wrong, and where you believe the correct information comes from. We read every message.
What we do
We check the claim against our sources. If we got it wrong, we correct the article and add a note at the foot of the story explaining what changed and when.
We do not quietly edit a story to make an error disappear. If the substance changes, the correction is visible.
Serious errors
Where an error is significant enough to have misled readers, we say so at the top of the article, not the bottom.
