Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of the ninth woman in a string of killings currently under investigation across Gauteng.
The suspects — a man and two women — were arrested over the weekend by detectives from the Gauteng Murder and Robbery Unit following the murder in Dawn Park.
The trio is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where further details of the case are expected to emerge.
The arrests come as SAPS continues to investigate all nine murders involving women, with Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane saying each case is receiving priority attention.
“We remain committed to ensuring that these investigations are pursued with the urgency and determination they require,” Dimpane said.
She added that investigators were following all available leads and working to bring those responsible to justice.
More details are expected once the suspects appear in court.
