#RIPBobo: Andile “Bobo” Mchunu Found Dead, body dumped in Newton river

Andile “Bobo” Mchunu from Hambanathi, Tongaat has been found dead, his body dumped in Newton river.

The 16-year-old was reported missing about a week ago and then a graphic video surfaced in social media where Mchunu was being beaten by a group of men for allegedly stealing alcohol and money.

He could be heard in the video begging for mercy but the men showed no mercy.

After the video surfaced, people started a social media hashtag asking for justice for Bobo and for him to be found.

His body was discovered by the Search and Rescue team, dumped in a river. KZN Police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker confirmed that the remains of the boy were found and have been sent for Forensic Analysis.

The tavern where Mchunu was last seen being assaulted has been set alight by the angry community.

A hashtag #RIPBobo has been trending on social media, with users sending their condolences and asking for justice.
