Here is how much bonus Bafana players will get for reaching the AFCON quarterfinals

Bafana Bafana shocked the host country, Egypt, yesterday after beating them by 1 goal to 0.

The goal came in the 85th minute through Orlando Pirates forward, Thembinkosi Lorch.

They are now guaranteed a bonus of R520k each for reaching the AFCON quarterfinals.

Speaking to journalists in Cairo last week, SAFA President Danny Jordaan confirmed the association had agreed to a bonus structure which would see Bafana pocketing up to a million each if they went all the way to win the AFCON.

The breakdown was arranged as follows:

R320 000 for reaching the last 16
R520 000 for the quarter-finals
R670 000 for the semi-finals
R920 000 for winning the tournament
